  i have seen the idea floated a few times in some interesting places, but also on threads here.. i think she would get the vote out in a way it has never been gotten out before.

  it would also throw all the pollster's margins of error way out of whack (which might be worth it, all by itself).. why do you think she should be or could be elected president?.

  why do you think she shouldn't be or couldn't be elected president?.

  i'm talking about the new posters, like kitten whiskers, who started posting today (hope this works: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/120817/1.ashx).

  and it seems like we're getting a few like this nearly every day.

  people who were raised jws, really worry that they are doing the right thing in leaving, yet who have been made to feel not good enough by the wts, who felt they never measured up, who struggled with it, but came to realize that what they'd been brought up to believe was just not the truth.. the same stories are told over and over again, and they come from sincere, good people - not whiny, fault-finding apostates like the rest of us riffraff around here!

  hi doubting bro; http://www.reexamine.org/wtobserver/ is one of the best places to do 100's of hours of research on the wt. http://www.premier1.net/~raines/ is another , really eye opening stuff. these x jw boards get 100's of new members each week. Most of them being active jw's. and i'm very happy for each one, but sad for thier pain. each person fades,start missing meeting, keeps going or straight out da's . to each is his own. most here have large jw families, and have to move slowly. your not the first and will not be the last. the more you learn the more pain you will feel. the pain will make you want to do more research. in the end i hope everyone that comes to these sites, gets what they want out of them. with the least amount of pain. john

  Bigg asambly hall sold

  in sweden it was told inn a letter from the society today that they hade sold ther assambly hall from 1jan 2007, a bigg hall for 6000 peopel, and bigg hotell and, also camping area , and some buldings, fore under 10 million dollar.we hade all our bigg summer assambleys ther, it was fore the whole country.. .

  when we by it, it was a blessing from jehova, now it was to bigg and to expensive, as i understand it the gb gave decide this, our country was to small to have so bigg and expensive establishment.. .

  littel sad to think about this was a very nice place, and i think evry jw was proud of it, some might bee very dessapointed now, and i must say this is a defeat fore the swedish leadershipp..

  auld soul: IS SKALLY WRONG , SAYING EVERY ELDER SHOULD GET UP AND SAY THE WT IS FULL OF S[edited]? YES... I AGREE 100%, but your an inside wt crybaby. forget about SKALLY. NEVER insult my witnessing work. you could never hold a candle to my lamp.. you just don't have my balls. you can't even touch what i've done in the last 10 years. you come here and cry about being nice . and using reasoning. that;s great it only works with about 2% of jw's research on any of these sites will show you that. now we are in the real world. you don't think i tried your 30 pages on 607 with jw's? wrong i did 100 pages. i learned it's the wrong arguement for me. just takes to long. been there done that. it's not working. when most times you only have one hour with any jw. i whp them in 5-10 minutes. if they like what the truth they learn . then i go from there. and will spend months with them if they like.. but i will have no so called self proclaimed know it all like you ., even get the inflated idea . that you have something over. me. BECAUSE I KNOW DIFFERENT.. SO GET OFF YOUR HIGH HAT.. AND NEVER THINK I'M SKALLY. BUT YOU COULD LEARN MUCH FROM HER. JOHN

  i posted this true encounter today for a few reasons. i didn't even post half of how i made 2 grandmother jw's stumble infront of thier pionner flock, it was like taking candy from a baby , and i was cool as a cucumber. i'm tired of some here referring to me as a wild crazy apostate. that just SCREAMS AT JW'S ON THE STREET. that's far from the facts. i've had 100's of nice encounters with jw's over the years . were i've planted many seeds. but never posted about them. i tend to come on this board and other boards. get pissed at what i read. and then tell a good story how i reamed the crap out of some Rabid jw , where they would understand nothing else. just to show weak faders. etc. how to handle such total wt zombie's. i can use the soft shoe or the heavy hammer. it's up to the jw. you will reap what you sow. and I apply this to every jw i speak with. very simple john

  i run into 6 sisters today . i would guess poineering. figured i'd stop and give them a try. i'm well known in this area, and wasn't even thinking they would talk with me. but i got a surprise. the young sisters, started talking with me. and i'm sure i knew at least one of the 70 year old sisters. we went into the new afake mag on blood. ( not my best wt subject) i ask the 3 20 something sisters. if you got hit by a car while out in field service today. and was dying from loss of blood at the hospital. could you tell the doctor . which blood fractions. the wt now says your allowed to have to save your life? no answers. so i said you just would bleed to death waiting for the hlc to show up? 2 of the olders sister start barking . we take no blood fractions period. i buzz tro the new awake and find the chart on fractions. hand it to sister grandma. and ask her which fractions the wt says you can now take? she gets mad closes the mag and tell me i don't understand it. sorry grandma I think it you that don't understand it. NOW I GOt there attenion. i tell them it's like a combo sandwich with ham salami, turkey, 4 cheeses, lettuce, tomato, onions. pickles,oil vingar mustard and mayo. the wt now says you can take the sandwich apart. and eat it ingredent by ingredent. but not have the whole sandwich.! then i give a little lesson on how this fractions are made from stored blood. this goes on for about 10 minutes. with the older sisters trying to justify the wt stance. i draw the line and tell them the bi8ble says to pour blood on the ground. which of these fractions made from bloodwas poured on the ground? again i ask the younger sisters what would they tell the doctor if they were going to bleed to death in 30 minutes? what sister grandma says or are you going to explain the new bllod doctrine to the doctor. that you don't understand? grand ma starts getting upset. but the young sisters are interested. i switch into false witnesses and ask grandma. is she honest? since she's been a jw since the 1940's go into vaccan ations and ask her to tell the younger sister about the vacc. ban she started turning red. i reminder her jehovah hates a false witness. now tell your young sisters how the wt said any tghinking christian would rather have small poxand polo the take a vaccanation. i asked her did you get your shots before school. she amitted no. i asked why? she wouldn't answer. so i told the young sisters her mommy was following the wt ban that has been lifted in the last 50 years. then i asked the young sister's you ever met on person with small pox or polio. ? they answer no.i tell them that at sister gradma's time , it was very common. today you next to0 never here about such deseases. why? because of shots. just think of the millions of lives saved. and at the time the wt was telling jw's you were following satan . if you got your shots. grandma was over a barrell. i switched into 1975 and the generation of 1914. and again told to 2 older jw's that jehovah hates a liar. to make a long story shorter, their were dancing on the street trying to talk there way out of this false prophecy. but the younger sisters knew i busted them. it was written all over their faces. all the while i was writing down different wt pubication dates on a wt . to back up most of what i said to prove it. i handed the wt back to the most receptive sister. with my phone number on it. about 3 hour later this sister called me up and told me her partner and her looked up some of the pub's i wrote down . and were surprised i was RIGHT. we talked about 5 minutes more . as i was working at the tim e. i gave her freemind's to look at . she said she will call me with some more question. for a rabid firebreathing apostate. i think i did real good . john

  JWs in white on bridge waiting 4 the Rapture in 1800s, anyone have quotes?

  in about 1881 a group of russell's followers stood one night on a bridge in pennsylvania dressed in white robes waiting to be taken to heaven.

  it was reported in a newspaper.

  apparently russell later said he was not one of the people on the bridge.. does any one have any of the details, and links to where it may be reported?.

  if i recall the story correctly. it was russell that called the newpaper, to document his rapture in to heaven . on that easter sunday. i'm pretty sure the exact reference can be found in the book " kingdom of the cults" john

  i was thinking about this for the last few days. first off let me say I DON'T AGREE WITH many things skally said in this thread. but has SKALLY HELPED ANYONE LEAVE.?. I don't have numbers. but she ran a x jw/ jw chat room for at least 3 years. on a board. and put up with lots of bull$hit. to try to help dozens. many are now members here. maybe we should have a roll call? IT WAS A NO HOLDS BARRED ROOM. i was not a regular. but i would return from time to time. as i could take it. talk about wild! funny thing there was active jw's that would ,be posting anything and everything to defend the wt. i would come back to the room months later, and find that skally and a few other changed these fire breathing WT DEFENDERS, INTO STRONG WT EXPOSERS AND HATERS.. that sounds like results to me. i think skally is frustrated she lost her.forum
